What is Hollywood Remembers?

Hollywood Remembers is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to raising awareness regarding the on‐going HIV/AIDS pandemic. This all‐volunteer grass roots organization sponsors a multi‐cultural, multi‐arts event each year marking World AIDS Day and remembering those who have died from HIV/AIDS as well as those living with the disease.

When is the event?

The event will be on Sunday November 29, 2009, 5:00 pm at Hollywood Lutheran Church, 1733 N. New Hampshire Ave., Los Angeles, CA. The centerpiece for this year’s event is the World Premier of an original musical especially written and composed for the evening. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to Women Alive – a non‐profit organization serving women impacted by HIV/AIDS.

How is it supported and promoted?

The event is supported through donations and grants. The event will be promoted throughout the LA Metro area utilizing Press Releases to major news outlets, Public Relations, multi‐media Press Kits and mass email campaigns. Last year television Channel 11 and Channel 13 News covered the event. This is a unique opportunity to reach an audience with compassion and understanding.
